Apple Pay, iOS 8.1 Now Available for Your iPhone And iPad

Actually Apple’s iOS 8.1 arrives today, with the new update comes probably the introduction of Apple Pay, the new mobile payment solution built into iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. The update iOS 8.1 also offers the ability to send/receive texts and phone calls between your phone and your Mac, it also features the return of “Camera Roll,” the public beta of iCloud Library and more.

Based on user feedback Apple's update for iOS 8 is a mix of features that did not make the official launch of the original software, like the return of Camera Roll.

Though, bringing back Camera Roll back does eliminate few confusion in iOS 8.1 device media management, though I must confess I was never left all that confused by its absence in the first place. As for Apple Pay, while it seems like the feature launch in iOS 8.1 with the most long-term potential, initially it’s going to be limited by retail availability, and also the fact that it’s U.S.-locked – a fact which means I won’t have a chance to trial it in a real-world situation for the time begin. In staged demos with live terminals, however, it performs very well.

To get the iOS 8.1 update is available over-the-air update, which you can find by heading straight to Settings > General > Software Update; you can also plug your phone or tablet into your computer and update via iTunes, which might be preferable if you’re still on an OS version earlier than 8.0, since the size requirements for over-the-air are significant. To use the new Continuity features with your Mac, you’ll have to download and install OS X 10.10 from the Mac App Store, which is a free update

Apple launches Apple SIM Could Let You Switch Carriers Easily

Finally Apple announced their new iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 at a press event yesterday, but actually something nice was also announced which went unnoticed, known as Apple SIM.

The Apple SIM will be pre-installed on iPad Air 2 WiFi with Cellular version and it will apparently let you choose between different mobile carriers for your iPad

When the iPad Air 2 launches, the Apple SIM will be available in the U.S. and the UK, and three carriers in the UK will support it, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, and in the UK it will be supported by EE, Apple explains below how the SIM card works.

''The new Apple SIM is preinstalled on iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular models. The Apple SIM gives you the flexibility to choose from a variety of short-term plans from select carriers in the U.S. and UK right on your iPad. So whenever you need it, you can choose the plan that works best for you — with no long-term commitments. And when you travel, you may also be able to choose a data plan from a local carrier for the duration of your trip.''

So basically you should be able to easily switch between carriers ranging from AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile on your iPad Air 2 without any long contracts. If Apple decides to bring this new Apple SIM to the iPhone in the future that could mean some major changes to the way mobile carriers offer their services.

Actually sales starts Today, with new iPads officially shipping to customers but will arrive in stores “late next week,” according to Apple.

The Prices for the new iPad mini, is essentially the same as the existing model but the new model has a Touch ID added and also new gold color option, prices starts at $399, while the iPad Air 2, with its full external and internal variants, starts at $499. The models have options of 16, 64 and 128GB series, with both Wi-Fi only and LTE-capable models of each.

Delivery time for the new iPads is targeted at October 23, which partly helps explain why the date wasn’t set in stone on stage. Apple actually wants to get the new products out there as soon as possible, instead of staging a defined, singular strict date, so they could start shipping in batches as soon as they come off the line.

From our initial impressions of the new iPads, have it that the iPad Air 2 is an enhanced upgrade even from last year’s version, while for the new iPad mini 3 is just similar product to the earlier version unless you have a burning desire for Touch ID or you are actually upgrading from a first-gen iPad Mini, it might be wise to hold on to your money.

Apple may unveil new tablet next week which could feature Apple pay

Actually, we believe that Apple may be unveiling of its latest tablet computer on October 16 at an event.
If these goes through, is expected to release an update to the operating system for its Mac computers and the possible release of a new digital payment service called Apple Pay. As the Apple iPhones released last month are designed with a wireless chip equipped to make the payments, but the service is not yet available.
In keeping with its usual practice, Apple Inc. isn’t saying what’s on the agenda. Instead, a cryptic invitation sent Wednesday to reporters and analysts simply said: “It’s been way too long.”

However, Apple typically releases its latest products during these period of the year as to cash in on the holiday shopping season. The company’s last tablet, the iPad Air, came out nearly a year ago.
Although the iPad Air, it’s Apple’s sleekest tablet yet, actually the iPad Air has not proven compelling enough to accelerate sales of it's tablet products. After a solid performance in last year’s holiday shopping season, Apple’s iPads have faltered. Through the first half of this year, Apple had shipped 29.6 million iPads, a 13 per cent drop from the same time last year.

Since the launch of it's first model, April 2010, Apple has sold more than 225 million iPads wordwide. Most people are still using iPads that they purchased several years ago because the recent generations haven’t prompted them to spend another $500 to $700 for a new tablet. Apple also has faced tougher competition from a variety of tablet makers using Google’s free Android software, as well as from Microsoft Corp.’s rival device, the Surface.

Speculation surrounding the new iPad, features inclusion of a sensor that enables a device to be unlocked with a user’s fingerprint instead of a password. The feature, called Touch ID, has been available on Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus models. Apple also might offer an iPad with a gold-coloured casing, another option already available on iPhones.

Apple’s most recent iPhone includes a hot-selling model with a 5.5-inch display screen. Some analysts believe the bigger iPhone might siphon sales from Apple’s iPad Mini, which has a 7.9-inch screen. The standard iPad boast a nearly 10-inch screen.
Apple may also release an update called “Yosemite” to it's operating system for Apple’s line of Mac computers, making it likely that the software will also be a part of the October 16 event at company’s headquarters in Cupertino.

Few things you should know before, pre-order your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus

And finally,Launch day for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus is over, and now the weekend warriors descend on Apple and connect stores looking to buy iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. These activites are still going to linger for a long time. Actually since 2010 has there been lots of long lines for or insanity about a new "i" device despite with pre-order option, but nothing like this.

To be honest, iPhone 4 was the last gigantic debut weekend, before Apple started taking pre-orders, a new style to shift away sales on the big day. iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are much larger when factoring in those 4 million first 24-hour pre-orders. Before you pre-order for Apple's newest handsets, I present few things you should know about the iPhone latest edition.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus is even bigger than you think.Unless you already have a Samsung phablet, you will discover that the Plus 6 device to be just that. yesterday in a Verizon store, i was alongside a woman as she compared her iPhone 4S to to the 6 Plus and gasped: "It's so big!".

Good luck finding iPhone 6 Plus. The device is sold out pretty much in every store. I randomly called different Apple Stores early this morning, and none seems to have this thing. You can either wait or buy the smaller iPhone series, which is my recommendation for majority buyers.

It has an amazing design feature Actually, for some reasons that make no sense to me, the new iPhones have a roundish design rather than flat sides. A a result In my handling of iPhone 6 seems a bit slippery than i rather thought.

Don't buy the 16GB models. Actually, you will regret the decision later on. Spend that extra few bucks for 64GB version. It's what Apple wants you to do it anyway, else the 32GB version would be the smallest option. To make things clear you will need that extra storage. Just ask anyone trying to scrape off 6GB of free space on older iPhones to install iOS 8.

Expect few problems setting up with Apple ID and restoring apps. Actually, sync is the killer app for most cloud-connected devices. But observing the two different iPhone 6 models, iCloud sync either needs work or labors under the load of way too many people setting up new devices all at once. My restore from backup is slow that a day after receiving the phone, it's not done as I write, and most of my apps are not installed yet
